How do our masks work?
Our very conductive silver-infused fabric puts the silver directly into the fibers instead of giving them a surface treatment. This results in the use of nanoparticles instead of conventional silver - nanoparticles are released at the right rate to keep a thin silver film on the fabric, preventing bacterial foothold. Nano-silver particles will not dissolve in water, but will increase activity and produce silver ions by slow release, the bactericidal effect is even better.
Natural Silver's ionic properties have a proven long-standing reputation as an effective way to resist and kill more than 650 types of harmful bacteria. Natural silver works against bacteria only in ionic form - it must lose an electron to be positively charged. Silver ions pierce the outer surfaces of cells and damage their DNA as well as their protein structure, stopping their metabolism and reproduction until they die. After the cells become inactive, silver ions leave, but continue to act against microbes, providing a constant antimicrobial performance without toxicity or side effects.

Who should wear a mask?
If you are healthy, you only need to wear a mask if you suspect a viral infection. Use an antibacterial face mask if you cough or sneeze to prevent the virus from spreading.
Disposable face masks can not block all pathogens and not kill them, making a discarded mask a disease route as the pathogens multiply in the fibers.
Washable, reusable masks with silver ions and antipathogenic properties can provide a powerful preventive tool against viral infections.

COVID-19 QUESTIONS
How did Asian countries contain Coronavirus so quickly?
Asian countries that have succeeded in containing the virus without locking society, such as Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, routinely use masks.
As of March 17, the three countries together claim to have fewer than 1,000 cases of coronavirus - despite being closely linked to China's Hubei province, where the epidemic erupted and exploded late last year. There are many explanations for this success, including rapid recognition of the threat, rapid application of lessons learned from the 2002 outbreak of SARS, and extensive testing and rigorous isolation of confirmed cases. However, masks are also routinely used for protection against infectious diseases in these countries, and universal mask use is part of the coronavirus guidelines. In Taiwan, masks are such an important first line of defense that artificial intelligence is used to create live maps of local supplies of face masks so that residents know where to get them.
Who should wear a mask?
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak, the public health authorities have informed us that masks are not necessary and should not be used by the general public to protect against the rapidly spreading virus. While it is true that medical surgical masks should be a priority for use by medical professionals at greatest risk of infection, others can and should use other protective face masks. There are compelling scientific reasons for this.
I media: THE GAURDIAN
Masks are effective at capturing droplets, which are a major route of transmission for coronavirus, and some studies have estimated an approximately fivefold protection against no barrier alone (although others have found lower levels of efficacy).
If you are probably in close contact with someone infected, a mask reduces the chance of the disease being transmitted. If you show symptoms of coronavirus, or have been diagnosed, wearing a mask may also protect others. So masks are essential for health and social workers who care for patients, and are also recommended for family members who need to take care of someone who is ill - ideally, both the patient and the nurse should have a mask ... Follow our care instructions carefully for long periods in as many as 30 sinks
Just as masks have a lot of natural silver, the storage, maintenance and washing methods are very specific:
It is not necessary to wash it daily, just take it off and place it in a dry ventilated place, without direct sunlight. The silver ions work continuously and kill bacteria.
When you want to wash it, rinse it in warm water for a maximum of 5 minutes, and gently rub off dirt marks under the hot water.
There is no loss of function after washing 30 times in ordinary water.
3. Do not wash it over 40 ℃. Do not dry clean; do not soak in high temperature water; do not wash it with a machine and dryer.
4. Do not use dewatering machine / dryer etc. For the drying process. It is better to dry gently.
5. Please ventilate area after washing (avoid exposure to direct sunlight): sunlight can make the elastic fiber slack which can greatly reduce the effect, and can also increase the temperature of conductive fabric electrodes, increase the silver reaction with sulfur and oxygen in the air and generate silver oxide sulfide , which reduces health care to conductive silverware. Appropriate cleaning and care can extend the life of the sock and achieve the best health effect.

Nanozide Nano-Coating Kills SARS Virus - New product
Just last year, the SARS epidemic sent a shake of fear across the globe. Now, researchers working at the Institute of Virology at the University Hospital of Philipps University Marburg have discovered that the viruses responsible for severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) lose their terror on surfaces coated with special nanoparticles.

These nanoparticles, only a few millionths of a millimeter in diameter, consist of titanium dioxide encapsulated in a nano-thin layer of silver. In laboratory tests, they were shown to be able to inactivate the coronavirus that causes SARS in addition to bacteria and fungi. The Marburg researchers found that the infectivity of the viruses after four hours of contact with the coating had decreased by more than two log steps. The nanoparticles have a particularly large specific surface area of around 200 sqm per gram. Due to their silver coating, the particles release silver ions over long periods; These ions effectively inactivate pathogenic bacteria, fungi and viruses, but are harmless to humans.
The effectiveness of the coating against SARS was confirmed during a study commissioned by ItN Nanovation GmbH, a nanotechnology company located in Saarbrücken. The aim of the study, which was carried out by the well-known German research institute in Marburg, was to find more applications for ItN's microbicidal nanoparticles.
The nano-powder with the brand name Nanozid is added to paints and varnishes used to coat operating tables, door handles and door handles in hospitals (eg "clean rooms") and surfaces in sanitary facilities. In addition to their obvious use in the clinical sector, biocidal coatings have many uses in the food industry and in HVAC systems, which often act as agents for the spread of infectious diseases.

INTRODUCTION
Nanosilver particles (NSP) usually have a size of 1 to 100 nm in at least one dimension. 1 - 4 As the particle size decreases, the ratio of surface area to volume of NSPs increases dramatically, leading to significant changes in their physical, chemical and biological properties. NSP has been among the most widely used nano-materials in our healthcare system for hundreds of years. Recently, NSPs have become of intense interest in biomedical applications ( Figure 1 ) due to their antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory activity. 5 , 6

These features make these silver-plated cotton fabrics a promising candidate as multifunctional fabrics with a reduced percentage of bacteria above 99.99%

In this article, we presented an overview of the use of antimicrobial textiles, including those with silver / nanosilver, as a new approach to counteract HAI by reducing the potential risk of pathogen transmission between patients and healthcare professionals. The strong antimicrobial in vitro activity of these engineered textiles was confirmed in vitro against several HAI-associated pathogens, including multiresistant strains belonging to alert pathogens.
